hates open letter. might hurt someone.

me? walang plastikan, i am compassionate. i do not hold grudges against other people. i don't (and can't) bottle up anger. ayoko ng gulo c: hindi rin ako duwag, but it takes a lot of effort to bring out the b i t c h in me c: at pag nangyari yon, nako, im unlikable c: i don't like speaking ill of others. believe me, i've learned the hard way. i may kid around a lot, but i know my limitations. i don't actually hate, because everything and everyone in this world is beautiful c: pero nako, there are just some people who feel they own the world (or another person for that matter)

24 is the shi*. haha.

march 8, 2007

let's call it a day.

lahat kami takot na pumasok sa i.a room, kung saan may aircon and super lamig. diba nakakatakot kung papasok ka sa malamig na lugar habang ikaw ay nanlalamig dahil s takot. you'll never know if you'll pass the test or not. another factor that affected us to be nervous is that LATE kami. buti maam was in the good mood kaya hindi kami pinagalitan though in between discussion ay pinapagalitan niya kami, haha. for others like me, it comes natural. i was bombed when keesha told me n wala pa akong tama answer sa first part nung test. i said. "wooow. how could that be?" i've already bet my score. naku naman, nakataya ung 100php ko jan. kasi i thought i'll be able to get the score i'm wanting all my life in sophies year.

i got 24 points. mark it. it's 24. haha. it's more than the passing score, i mean it's more than maam gallardo could expect. [remember my old post] someone underestimated me before and oh my godlike. i think that someone is pissed off right now. haha.

well, the third part of the test was very embarassing.>:P i got zero. haha. but it was really so hard and even the papers that i was checking never had a score on that part. haha. at least may kadamay.XD

im super proud i passed. are you, ma'am?

my table full of numbers

THIS POST IS ABOUT RADICALS

this is not a root of a tree. but a root of a number.
does it sound scary? ofcourse it does. first impression to radicals last,NOT. you may think alot of numbers are seen in your paper or the entire table rather, with all those papers all over the place containtg numbers. worse is that zero is there..XD

i- is what you call an imaginary number.
-it is the square root of -1 [fascinates me alot]

i cube = - square root of -1 [same same]

so let me tell you a story about the radicals:

Roots and Radicals deserve their own chapter and homework because they occur frequently in applications.

Let $ n\<span class=geq 2 $" align="middle" border="0" height="39" width="57"> be a natural number, and let $ a $ be a real number. The $ n $-th root of $ a $ is a number $ b $ that satisfies $ a = b^n. $ The number $ b $ is denoted by

$\<span class=displaystyle b = \root n \of a. $" align="middle" border="0" height="48" width="81">

For example, $ \root 4 \of 81 = 3 $ since $ 3^4 = 81 $, and $ \root 5 \of 32 = 2 $ since $ 2^5= 32 $.

The symbol $ \<span class=sqrt{\phantom{yz}} $" align="middle" border="0" height="42" width="45"> is called the radical symbol, and an expression involving it is called a radical (expression).

If $ n=2 $ then $ b $ is the square root of $ a $ and the number $ 2 $ is usually omitted. For example, $ \root 2 \of 25 = \<span class=sqrt{25} = 5. $" align="middle" border="0" height="50" width="155">

If $ n=3 $, then $ b $ is the cube root of $ a $. For example, the cube root of $ 27 $ is $ 3 $, and that of $ 8 $ is $ 2 $.

If $ n $ is even and $ a $ is positive then there are two $ n $-th roots of $ a $, each being the negative of the other. For example, since $ 5^2 = (-5)^2 = 25 $ there are two square roots of $ 25 $. In that case by convention the symbol $ \root n \of a $ means the positive $ n $-th root of $ a $, and it is called the principal ($ n $-th) root of $ a $.

If $ a $ is negative and $ n $ is odd then there is just one $ n $-th root, and it is negative also. For example, $ \root 3 \of -1 = \root 5 \of -1 = -1. $

At this stage we do not know of an $ n $-th root if $ n $ is even and $ a $ is negative. This leads to the subject of complex numbers which we will take up later in the course.

Radicals are just special cases of powers, and you can simplify much of your thinking by keeping this fact in mind:

$\<span class=

It follows immediately from that observation and the properties of powers that

$\<span class=>

Solving Radical Equations

An equation involving radicals is called a radical equation (naturally). To solve it you simply apply our general principle:

To solve an equation figure out what bothers you and then do the same thing on both sides of the equation to get rid of it.

To get rid of a radical you take it to a power that will change the rational exponent to a natural number. This will work if the radical is on one side of the equation by itself.

Hope you enjoyed the story about the radicals and roots. because you will never get the answer if you will not try to analyze it. numbers might be scary on the outside but meaningful on the inside.

a yes or a no?

very memorable to imagine.

we're with our adviser.
the first test she attended completely the entire school year.

we had a test, final achievement test, we had so much fun and enjoyment. as the hours pass, lahat na ng nasa mind ko is settled about the test, concentration. pero never in my entire day na naisip ko ang card ko, the very horrible and terrifying class card na i never had a high grade in i.a..

very disappointing dahil i thought i gave it all. pero one point lang ang difference ng grade ko from the past grading periods. akala ko 85 nako knowing i passed all the requirements though my periodic test was bit of a crap.

well, i have uttered these things for the whole day and even in my dreams.
i have many questions right now regarding my grades so my post for today will not yet be concluded.

why cant i?

i always fail. it makes me sad every time my classmates pass. this is quite discouraging. :( what should i do? feeling ko nagawa ko na ang lahat. i'm really insecured to my classmates having their high grades but still asks and complains, while i'm drowning my self to regret. i believe that regret is a waste of time pero kapag nandoon kana sa situation, you'll never know.

kapag nagtatnong kasi ako feeling ko mapapahiya ako, because there was this incident na i asked a question tapos it was so easy for my other classmates. they laughed at me, since that day happened i never ask serious questions. and if i dont understand anything, i will just have to sleep.

my seat mates are far more than what i know in math, they're really good. and i bow down to that but why cant i do the same? we are just in the same row. one thing that makes me so bitter is that im depressingly ignoring that i'm sitting in front but still don't understand anything. funny isnt it? but not for the person involve. me.

and the discouraging of all discouraging things, is that when maam told mark james to hurry checking my paper, because mark was moving like a snail back then so he wasn't able to give it on time. so, maam told mark "dalian mo na parang may binibilang ka" so it came to me na even my techer is under estimating my capacity. but she was never wrong, i thought I'd pass that test. i was very ready when i took that test but something happened. i got !! on my periodic test. i cried but no body saw it because i wanted them to see me as a person who is not afraid of failing. i guess people are right about me, im not good at math and i will never be good at it.

memorabilias

we were having our first Friday mass and God generously showered Andrea a miraculous power of STUDYING. everyone in II Pauling witnessed it and was barbarically amazed. haha i studied though the test is finished. this was because, ma'am gallardo told me that i failed. too bad so sad but it made me a brave man trying to fight. so your question is did i win? well hopefully.. sana talaga.. hahah.. this was really memorable though it was filled with anger and hatred i never fell into my knees. unlike others. see the picture, I'm doing my math time, i know it's too late but i might use it in the future and might be one of the great someone. i never liked anyone pushing me to be somebody or forcing me to do something pero cant blame them, nagustuhan ko din afterwards mga ginagawa nila. oh db this was the great change to my attitude. this was very memorable indeed because everybody was staring at me, i wished ma'am gallardo was there and have seen me doing stuff that she likes the most.

another memorable day was when i first passed my test, this wasn't just a passed, this was overwhelming passed, as i call it. whoosh, i got 16 points. whoa,.. I'm so happy. i couldn't find a way to stop my tears.:P but unfortunately... this will not help.. i will still have my bad grades.:(

************************************************************************************

i liked maam during our Xmas party it was like an algebra class. each one of us were happy for having our teacher with us.:P this was the first time we Pauling had fun with our adviser, because it's either she's yelling at us, submission of cards or teaching lesson. but still, amazingly and amusingly joyful for our Xmas event.

aba aba ganito pla etech

0/0 or undeterminate --- fascinating isn't it. not everyone knows about this thing. i even have my notes for this lesson.

laws of exponents and factoring was one of the best topic i ever had. but sometimes i don't get the grades that I'm expecting. haha.. i know the lesson but i guess i lack practice.

my favorite time of IA is Wednesday time. i can practice or rest before i go to IA, for a quiz or seat work.

i know this my sound weird but, June 9, 2006, i have learned something bout the cartesean plane, this was developed by Rene de cart, i have also learned stuff such as +y and +x, their axis, x-abscissa and y-ordinato, the origin where they intersect. I,II,III and IV quadrants going counter clock wise.

special products was quite difficult, but then i tried to figure things out, by asking for others help.

i knew that in problem solving if these words are seen:

added
increase
sum
plus
more than
total these are all addition

and if:

difference
diminish
decrease
minus
less these are all subtraction

the intecept method was easy enough to be understood by ME:D

y intercept is when the value of x=0
x intercept is when the value of y=0

whahaha. so who would've forgotten the greek word mountaire. which means slope.

yun lang ung naalala ko. and pag posstive yung slope the line is diagonal to right.
pag negative digonal sa left.:X

they may think that i don't study, but they can never tell that i don't learn something.

i told you i have learned many stuff. pero hindi ko lang maapply. well it's obvious with my scores.
